Not March Madness, but MARCH MIRACLES!!
Our March meetings in Texas were wonderful, even the one at which we arrived a year early! Yep, I am serious about that. A slight mis-communication had us thinking we were starting this year’s mission conference on the first Wednesday in March, and the pastor had us down to begin the conference next March! What a blessing to have two new supporting churches in Texas, a total of three, co-laboring with us for the people of Papua New Guinea.
The trip to Arizona was refreshing as we saw many old friends and had the chance to present our burden in two churches. In the first church we had from ten until noon to share the ministry and preach. We were blessed to see a man come to Christ! The other was on the Yavapai-Apache Reservation. How fun it was to be the first foreign missionaries presenting in this church!
Of course, the biggest, most amazing blessing of the trip was the salvation of Trina’s 95 year old father!! Great praises to our God for His marvelous grace!
Of course, the biggest, most amazing blessing of the trip was the salvation of Trina’s 95 year old father!! Great praises to our God for His marvelous grace! I spent the morning at the assisted living center praying as Trina spent an hour and a half with her dad in his apartment looking at Scripture.
How incredible it was that he finally understood the seriousness of his condition before God and the perfect provision made for him by Christ. I was thrilled to hear the new attitude Mirko had toward everything, especially Jesus! We were so blessed to find him the next day, trying to read his Bible under his magnifier. The folks we were staying with had the New Testament and Psalms/Proverbs on cassette, a great aid to dad with his limited eyesight. We spent a bit of time with our son Jesse and his fiancé, Katie, at an early surprise birthday dinner for Dad. It was good to see them, and see how pleased my father-in-law was to have us all around. Rachel even called from PNG during that visit!
We have 4 more weeks of school and are currently in the class Principles of Bible Translation. We are planning some deputation right after graduation between here and Greenville, SC as we travel that direction to help Anna move and see our son Ben.
Please pray for God to fill those 6 weeks prior to our PNG survey trip with meetings! Also keep in prayer God’s supply for other needs related to our survey trip, June 29th- August 11th. Thank you so much for your every prayer for us and every gift to us!
Please feel free to contact us via email. It would be a big help to us to be able to stay in contact with you electronically. We greatly desire to keep in touch with all of you; we just need to adjust how we do that!
