From Alaska to Cheyenne, Wy to Abilene to Amarillo to Austin to Fort Stockton to Pampa to Dallas to Corpus Christi to New Caney to Temple to Greenville, SC –— W-O-W! Texas is really BIG! W-h-e-w! Glad that is OVER! Yeah - Yeah, I know - you can put Texas 2 1/2 times in Alaska! Now that’s really B-I-G!!!!
Our last deputation meetings in Texas took us into new territory: way down south on the Gulf of Mexico! We so enjoyed the Texas State Aquarium and our drive out to Padre Island! We traversed the state, going almost 1000 miles from north to south. On our way south, we had a special blessing from a supporting church in Grand Prairie that purchased us a motel room, perfectly breaking up our drive, and even keeping us out of metroplex traffic! The most awesome thing though, is that while we were at this hotel on a Friday, God had a pastor call us from Corpus Christi to explain why he could not have us in during July; but as we visited, God made it plain that this church was where we were to be the next Sunday morning - an AM service God had left perfectly open! We had a wonderful time with Pastor Welder and the folks of Bible Believer’s Baptist Church. We have three new supporting churches so far from this trip, and we are sure God burdened more to pray for us! We certainly want to say a “BIG THANKS” to the director and my good friend Rex Cobb and the great staff at BBTI (Baptist Bible Translators Institute) for letting us use a house for a base camp as we traveled and had meetings throughout Texas!!!!!!!
